Friday 31st March saw the start of the 2006 HK Rugby Sevens games at the Hong Kong stadium in Causeway Bay. As we had to work we made it there for about 5:30pm. We went with our friends Bruce and Chris and as we were all Rugby Sevens virgins, we had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival we obtained a jug of beer for the boys and a jug of Pimms for the girls - not a bad start. We got seats in the South stand - reputedly where the rowdy, party mob go to let oof some serious steam!!!!
Friday night continued in Lan Kwai Fong but it was so busy we couldn't make it up the street to our usual spot at Stormies and gave up. Wanchai was much the same so we called it quits and went home early, 1am, saving energy for a whole day and night experience of a Saturday Sevens.

We made it to the stadium by 10 am and got good seats in the much sort after South Stand. Matches were played all day - the atmosphere was great and there were plenty of wonerful costumes to look at - it was party day!
The Brokeback boys take their part seriously as we leave home. They are both married, but so weren't Ennis and Jack?
Two fallen angels! I think my halo fell off!
The sun decides to shine and as temperatures near 30 degrees, Chris improvises with the Sevens paper or a hoop and I don my bandana! We all got sunburnt!
Austin Powers was in the stadium too.
